We believe that there are critical skills that set the foundation for social, emotional, and academic development. Dragonfly Behavioral Solutions was founded to address these needs for families by developing customized strategies. We are committed to using evidence-based practices, proven methods rooted in behavior analysis. We pride ourselves on building meaningful relationships with clients and their families. Our goal is to ensure meaningful outcomes for our clients that lead to an overall higher quality of life.

Shannon Arthur

Founder & CEO

Dr. Shannon Arthur is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral (BCBA-D) and Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst in the state of Massschusetts. Dr. Arthur’s work in behavior analysis began during her undergraduate career while working at the Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University in New York. She received her Master’s degree from the City University of New York -Queens College and practiced as a certified Behavior Analyst in New York. Dr. Arthur received her doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Endicott College in Massachusetts.

 

Dr. Arthur has experience working with individuals 2-22 in a variety of settings including private schools for children with high behavioral needs, clinic based intervention, and consultation within public school districts. Dr. Arthur’s clinical work has focused on providing individuals and their families with skills and tools needed to create healthy routines. Dr. Arthur conducts research in finding the most effective and efficient toileting procedures for caregivers and how to train staff to use clinical judgment skills in their practice.

Helayn Flyer

Director of Clinical Services

Helayn Flyer MA, BCBA, LBA, earned her BA in Psychology and General Education from SUNY Albany before pursuing a Masters Degree in Special Education at Columbia
Teachers College. Her diverse employment history includes serving as a self-contained classroom teacher,
educational evaluator, and inclusion consultant.

 

Helayn's journey into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began in the mid-1990s, culminating in her achievement of BCBA certification from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2014. She also holds a license in Behavior Analysis in the state of New York. In both classroom and consulting settings, she specializes in identifying and addressing problem behaviors that hinder skill acquisition. Her expertise lies in conducting comprehensive functional behavioral assessments and devising tailored behavior intervention plans. With over twenty years of experience in various roles, Helayn has dedicated her career to supporting individuals with special needs.
